Most of our clients wish to give those who visit their premises a memorable customer experience and for many this begins at the point of arrival outside. Ikea recognised a need to improve the ease of interpretation and appearance of their car park and external building signage at three of their stores recently and they brought us on board to introduce new solutions.
Meeting the client at each location, we were able to understand why the changes were needed, the problems identified and how any improvements would require to be designed to solve them. Through a process of identifying user categories of pedestrians and vehicular types, evaluating vehicle circulation routes and establishing new directional wayfinding strategies, we created detailed visual design proposals allowed Ikea to comprehend how the changes would benefit all visitors.
Adopting an innovative approach and using high quality materials which the client also stipulated had to be easily maintainable, we manufactured and installed nearly 200 signs across the sites. The styles of sign include illuminated roof mounted entrance and exit signage, external wall mounted departmental signs plus an extensive multi-message post and panel system.
Successful completion of these projects has resulted in great relationship between Centurion Signs UK and Ikea which we’re sure will continue for many years to come.
