Shop Front Sign for Soapbox Digital – Case Study
Our friends at Soapbox Digital, a digital media agency based in Glasgow, recently acquired new premises and a top quality, impressive shop front sign was high on their priority list!
As a creative business that prides itself on forward thinking design, Soapbox Digital discussed with us how this could be translated into their new shop front image. Also, with their new location being on the busy Kilmarnock Road in Shawlands, it was important that they were visible for passing trade both day and night.
The result of this shop front sign vision is what you see in the gallery included at the bottom of this article; a facia that stands out, but exudes class and high quality.
We will now explain how this was achieved:
The Shop Front Sign
How do you make a creative company’s shop front sign look creative? Answer: Get creative with the manufacturing process.
The ‘Soapbox’ letters and logo were laser cut from 1mm brushed stainless steel, which stood off a black back panel via aluminium spacers. At the rear of these letters and logo, translucent orange backtrays were attached that created a housing for the internal LED arrays. This ‘hallo’ glow, created by the accurately spaced LEDs, has been emphasised by the slightly oversized orange letter and logo vinyls that were applied to the black back panel, as can be seen in the right hand image.
The shop front look was completed by the application of frosted window graphics that were reverse applied on to the main window and door glass.
We were delighted with the end result of this shop front sign, as were Soapbox Digital more importantly! However, we’d love to hear what you think. So join us on one of our social media channels to give us your opinion; we love a chat!
